I just received a forward from a friend revealing a Barnes & Noble faux pas regarding a book display about President Obama. Apparently a customer pranked the display by placing a book titled "Monkeys" alongside the volumes by and about the president.

B&N has apologized and promises that greater care will be taken in the future to prevent similar occurrences. It will be of great interest to hear the views of anyone following this blog. All the views which accompanied my friend's forward imply complicity on B&N's part. My question is: is there any good reason to view this incident in a different light?

Incidentally the incident has been verified to be true.
